Our Country’s 70th Republic Day was celebrated with great reverence in our school. The program began with the flag hoisting by the Chief Guest COO of RSWM Rishabhdev. This was followed by our National Anthem, then the Principal addressed the gathering. The students presented cultural programmes which included patriotic song, theme dance, Ghoomar, Poem etc. We also had a prize distribution ceremony for various winners of Inter house competitions. The Chief Guest motivated the students and urged them to do their best and feel proud to be Indians. The program came to an end by singing the National Song. Despite weather being inclement, we enjoyed Republic Day with great enthusiasm.
Sports help to improve both physical and mental strength and our body remains fit and healthy. Keeping that in mind, an eventful Annual Sports
Day of the school was inaugurated on 12th January 2019. It was started with the lighting of torch and igniting the flames of honour. Four of our students completed the torch ceremony started by Harshita Pandey followed by Nitin Jangid, Hemant Tiwari and the head boy of the school Master Arun Prakash. There were many sports events for each category such as Race, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Table-Tennis, Dodge Ball etc. Students enjoyed and won prizes in different sports categories.
The closing ceremony of the Annual Sports Day was on 14th January 2019.
The Youthful Swami Vivekananda was a key figure in the introduction of Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world.
Vivekanand Jayanti was celebrated in our school on 12th January 2019 with full zeal & enthusiasm. To honour Swamiji, a National Youth Day was also celebrated. The special assembly was conducted and the programme began with lamp lighting and garlanding the statue. The students from classes VI to VIII participated in a Rally, where some students revealed the ideas of Vivekananda through a play.
A Fire Alarm Mock Drill was conducted on 12th February, 2019 in VKV, Rishabhdev school premises. The children were introduced with that kind of situations and informed how to go to a safer place if you listen to this kind of alarm. They were also introduced with the various types of fire extinguishers and how to operate it during an emergency.
Our school organised and proudly presented the annual ‘Result Day’ ceremony for the students. The ceremony took place on 31st of March 2019. It began with lighting of sacred Lamp before goddess Saraswati. During the day, various awards such as- Academic, Full Attendance, Most Disciplined and House Championship were given to the winners. The examination report was also presented to the students. After this, the Principal of the school presented Annual Report along with the information of new session to every students. He congratulated toppers of all the classes and gave his blessings. The Chief Guest Shri K.B. Khatod, COO of RSWM Rishabhdev also addressed the audience. Finally the programme ended with a vote of thanks.
The 2nd edition of PIE OLYMPIC GAMES was held from 29th Jan to 2nd February, 2019 at various sports areas in Udaipur. These sports events were being organized by Rajasthan Patrika in collaboration with Hindustan Zinc Limited. Our school students participated in 3 different sports events and performed exceedingly well. Total 9 students participated in Chess tournament in the age categories of U-14 and U-18. Master Kunal Parmar and Master Shripath Meena bagged Bronze Medal by securing 3rd and 4th position in U-18 boys category. Our School Girls team won the Silver Medal in U-18 Badminton category. Miss Harshita Pandey, Miss Mansi Pandya and Miss Mahima Sainee participated in this group.
A one day Kathak Dance training programme was conducted in VKV, Rishabhdev School by Spic Macay Organisation. Famous Kathak Dancer Gauri Diwakar performed a breath taking dance presentation. She has been awarded with senior fellowship by Kalavahini Trust, Chennai this year. While in the year 2008, she was awarded with Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar by the Sangeet Natak Akadami. She was accompanied by Mohit Gangani on Tabla, Aashish Gangani on Pakhawaj, Faraz Ahmed on Vocal and Harmonium.
The program began with a prayer of Lord Ganesha. She explained the students, the origin, history, meaning, taal, footwork, movement in an excellent manner. She tried to nurture and propagate the essence of Indian Classical dance through her performance. It was heartening to see different dance items. She used innovative ways of dance presentation and the entire programme was really enjoyable. She concluded her performance with our national song. In the end, they all were awarded with mementos by our School Principal.
An Inter School Badminton Tournament was organised on 2nd May, 2019 in VKV, Rishabhdev School premises. Overall 3 schools participated in this event with a combined strength of 31 players. This event was played in two categories U-14 (Boys/Girls) and U-17 (Boys/Girls). It was played in a team format in which 16 players participated from VKV, Rishabhdev School, 13 players from Nobles, Kherwara and 6 players from SVGMS, Kherwara. VKV, Rishabhdev won the event in both the categories of U-14 (Boys/Girls) and U-17 (Boys/Girls).
It was organised for students on 7th August, 2019 to prevent both Measles and Rubella diseases. Total 1039 students from Play Group to Class Xth were vaccinated during this camp. The vaccination programme was executed in collaboration with Aasha Sahyogini, Anganwadi workers along with the medical team of Community Health Centre, Rishabhdev.
Artist Shakir Khan, one of the most promising young exponents of the legendary Etawah Gharana, gave introduction of Sitar instrument and showed them how it is played & what are the playing techniques. He also taught them how to create specific notes on Sitar.
On the other hand, Tabla Vadak Unmesh Banerjee, disciple of Pt. Sunil Banarjee and Vidwan S. Shekhar performed fabulously on Tabla.
The students were overjoyed and enthusiastic while they were performing. After the session, students cleared their doubts and queries with the artists.
