The nature trip of Gulab bag for classes Nursery to 3rd offered students a hands-on experience with the environment, helping them connect with natural elements like plants, animals, and the ecosystem. Learning outcomes included enhancing observation skills, fostering environmental awareness, and encouraging curiosity about the natural world. The historical trip of Haldi Ghati for classes 4th to 8th provided students with a deeper understanding of key historical events and landmarks. Students gained firsthand knowledge of the past, improving their research and analytical skills while fostering a greater appreciation for history and cultural heritage.
Mirth and vivacity descended on the premises of VKV, Rishabhdev, as the school celebrated 'Children's Day' with inimitable conviction. At the outset , there was Lamp lighting followed by garlanding portrait of jawahar Lal Nehru , as a mark of tribute to 'Chacha Nehru' The celebration commenced with an Assembly led by Teachers, who untraveled their multifaceted talents by showcasing themselves in various performances in song, skit and dance making the entire school live and festive. The curtain fell on the programme by an insightful speech by our Principal Ma'am Ms Vijayshree Yadav, filling the day with joy, laughter and vibrant energy.
Youth Camp Nainital (13 to 19 November) "True Knowledge is not attained by thinking, it is what you are ; it is what you become.” Students of VKV, Rishabhdev attended the Youth Camp held from 13th November to 19th November, 2024. Mountain Echoes at Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Delhi branch organised the (YC-24227) adventure programme at Van Niwas, Nainital. A team of 40 students and 4 teachers attended the camp.The objective was to motivate children to learn real life experiences. The Prime focus of this programme was to encourage youth into exploring world beyond tech tools and appreciate nature in its purest form. The camp was packed with fun and adventure and practical experience in daily life situation. The camp had a modest beginning with the inaugural address of our camp director respected Shri Vivek Jhunjhunwala. In the course of 7 days, students participated in various fun filled adventure activities which included 5 days Rock Climbing Course including Scrambling, bouldering, Rock Climbing, Rappelling and River Crossing, Trekking on varied terrains, Meditation, Yoga, Morning Exercise and Funny Games, Interactive Sessions, Cultural Talks etc. The adventure camp activities help the students to build up stamina, courage and self-confidence. To keep the body flexible and fit, yoga based keep fit exercises are carried out every morning throughout the camp. This camp offered a positive and safe environment where children could gain confidence and self-esteem. This camp helped them to understand importance of time management and discipline in their life. This has been a great learning opportunity and fosters team spirit and mutual understanding among students. The students arrived bubbling with excitement as they headed to participate in such activities for the first time. The students had a joyful experience. the camp concluded with unforgettable memories.
Grand Parents Day Celebration (25 October) The Grandparents Day celebration was a heartwarming event aimed at honoring the invaluable contributions of grandparents in our lives. The day featured a series of joyful games and activities that fostered intergenerational bonding and created cherished memories. The event saw enthusiastic participation of grandparents. Laughter and excitement filled the air as everyone engaged in the games, sharing stories and experiences Participants expressed joy and appreciation for the opportunity to connect with family members in a fun setting. The Guru Purnima celebration at our school was a reverential event where students and teachers gathered to honour our mentors. The seven-day summer camp at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev, concluded today, May 25, 2024. The camp, which ran from May 18 to May 25, saw the participation of 262 children. On the final day, all the children showcased their activities, highlighting the camp's objective of bringing out their hidden talents. The camp featured a variety of unique activities, including a Creative Corner, Science Workshop, Talent Spotlight, Ninja Warriors Game, Aqua Adventures, and Field Frolics encompassing cricket, football, and badminton. Additionally, activities such as music, art, skating, and self-defense were also conducted. On the last day, the children performed a puppet dance and a hula hoop dance, and also showcased their skating skills. The self-defense segment saw girls demonstrating several techniques for personal safety. Music students delivered beautiful performances, and all the teachers actively encouraged and motivated the students throughout the event.
On International Labour Day (1st May, 2024) , Class UKG and VI A conducted a thoughtful assembly, featuring a stirring speech highlighting the importance of honoring workers worldwide. A poignant poem underscored the struggles and triumphs of laborers. Principal Ma'am's address emphasized the value of labour and the need for equitable treatment of workers in all sectors.
Twenty students from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rishabhdev participated in the IIT Delhi's Event Youth Speak Forum. The event at IIT Delhi facilitated engaging discussions on global SDG issues and youth empowerment. Subsequently, the students embarked on a tour of Delhi, exploring historical monuments like the Qutub Minar and science museums such as the National Science Centre. The visit provided an enriching blend of academic discourse and cultural exploration, fostering holistic learning experiences for the students.
A massive cyclothon/marathon was organized by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev, on 24-4-24 from Rishabhdev's Pagliyaji Garden to the bus stand, in honor of World Earth Day, aimed at environmental conservation. Students from classes 6 to 12 of the school participated in the event. The chief guest of the event was Shri Rajiv Chaudhary, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rishabhdev Circle, and special guests, including Shri Manish Meena, Chairman of Rishabhdev Municipality. The program was presided over by the organization's head, Shri Vijay Shri Yadav. Program coordinator Rajendra Parihar told that the chief guest, Shri Rajiv Chaudhary, inaugurated the cycling marathon by waving the green flag, starting the rally from Pagliyaji Garden. The main route of the marathon started from Pagliyaji Garden to Senior Secondary School, Gurukul, Mahaveer Nagar, Bapu Bazaar, Patuna Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, and ended at the main bus stand. Along with the rally, students marched step by step, holding placards urging everyone to vote and emphasizing the need to clean the earth and remove plastic pollution. At the main bus stand, students appealed to all citizens to vote on April 26. They also spread the message of a plastic pollution-free environment. Baby Show Celebration - The Baby Show Celebration at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev, was a joyful event filled with excitement and talent. The program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome and a captivating welcome dance. Principal Mrs. Vijayshree Yadav delivered an inspiring address. Children below 2 years charmed the audience with a delightful ramp walk, while children aged 2-3 participated in a fun game to enhance their cognitive and motor skills. Lohri is a popular Punjabi folk festival, celebrated on 13 January each year. Hindus traditionally light bonfires and sing and dance together as to mark the Winter Solstice and the onset of longer days. The Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rishabhdev celebrated the festival with a speech presented by Master Bhav of class 9th on "Why do we celebrate Lohri?". The students were told the significance of both Lohri and Pongal. The principal ma'am , teachers and the students attempted a bonfire . Folk songs were played to mark the mood and the teachers danced to the energetic rhythm. Sports Day: Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rishabhdev hosted the much awaited Annual Sports day on 13th January 24 on the sprawling grounds of the school. The morning was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The Sports day was held for grades I to Xll. The day kicked off with Baton lighting and an inspiring Oath by Varshika Choudhury, of class 7th setting the tone for a day of sportsmanship and fair play. The birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, which is marked as National Youth Day Was celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rishabhdev on 12th January 2024. The celebrations commenced with the garlanding of Swami ji's portrait and lamp lighting by the principal M Ma'am. To take the event further a thought provoking skit was presented by the students of class 8. The skit aimed to enlighten the students about the principles and values advocated by the great spiritual leader. Dance performance by the students of class 9th added a dynamic element to the celebration, with participants expressing the vibrancy of youth through various dance forms. Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. Christmas celebration was held on 23rd December 2023, in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rishabhdev . The school was beautifully decorated and everybody was dressed in red and white. The celebration commenced with the solemn lighting of the fourth candle of Advent, symbolising hope, love, joy, and peace. A melodious chorus filled the air as students and participants engaged in heartwarming carol singing sung by class 9th students .A beautiful skit followed depicting the scenes of the nativity of Jesus Christ Right from the conception of Mary to the birth of Jesus a harmonious story was displayed by the students of class 5. The event followed with cheerful Christmas greetings as the students of primary wing danced to the melodious tunes of ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘We wish you a merry Christmas.’ The dazzling entry of Santa Claus added to the joy and excitement of the students. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children. The event ended with cheerful Christmas greetings by our honourable Principal Ma'am Ms. Vijay Shree Yadav . Diwali Celebration special assembly Diwali, the festival of lights, is one of the most celebrated festivals in India. It symbolises the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rishabhdev, celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm and fervour. The school was beautifully adorned with colorful and creative decorations. The decorations incorporated traditional elements of Diwali, including diyas, rangoli and vibrant flowers by pre primary teachers. The Assembly area was decorated with rangoli designs, adding a touch of artistic elegance to the surroundings. The program commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony, by the honourable principal Ma'am Mrs. Vijay shree Yadav. On the day of Diwali, a lamp lighting ceremony was organized in the school's assembly area. The entire school community, including students, teachers, and staff, gathered to light diyas and offer prayers. This moment of togetherness was a poignant reminder of the significance of Diwali in promoting unity and positivity. symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. India is a secular country with diversified cultures and the significance in their own kind. As an endeavour to solidify the bond of oneness and unification, the country celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on 31st October as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day). In line with the celebrations countrywide, Vivekanand Kendra Vidyalaya, Rishabhdev following the mandate organised various activities in the school premises in order to extend their heartfelt appreciation about the life and the involvement of the great leader, Sardar Patel, in the veritable contribution during the freedom struggle and to lay a foundation of a unified country fused with oneness. The idea was to infuse in the young future generation with values integrated with the knowledge and adoration about the country’s rich heritage. A special morning assembly was organised. The programme started with pushpanjali to Goddess saraswati and Sardar Vallabh Patel by our honourable Principal ma'am, impressive speech made by Mrs. Ashy Francis Ma'am then a poem was presented by Naksh Jain of class V. In order to bring out the creative talents of students and celebrate the Festival of Lights in its true spirit the Diya Decoration Competition for Grades 3rd to 8th and Rangoli making competition for grade 6 to 12 were held at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rishabhdev during CCA periods on 1st November 2023. The main objective of this competition was to explore the students’ imagination and creativity. Most of the students participated enthusiastically in the competition. They displayed their creativity by beautifully decorating earthen Diyas and their rangoli with colours and the works. It was sheer pleasure and a great experience for all our students who were the reasons for making the event a great success.
Inter House group bhajan competition Bhajan always gives joy and peace. In order to inculcate the habit of worship and togetherness an "Inter house Group Bhajan Singing Competition" was organised in Vivekanand Kendra Vidyalaya on 25th October, 2023 for the students of classes 3 to 12 during CCA periods. Participants from all four houses sang the bhajan with a lot of passion, confidence and spirituality, which not only exposed them to worship of God but also improved their coordination skills. The bhajans were sung to permeate the ether in the form of sound waves and fill the entire atmosphere, thereby the whole environment gets purified. It also helps the young ones to know about our tradition. The judges to grace the occasion and adjudicate the competition were Mr. Rajendra Parihar, Mrs Veena Jain, Mr Pankaj Purbia and Mr. Tarun Trivedi. The judges appreciated the performance of all and congratulated the winners.
Navaratri is an annual Hindu festival observed in the honour of the goddess Durga. Being one the prominent and rich festivals of India, the festival is for different reasons and celebrated differently in various parts of the Hindu Indian cultural sphere. To burn the devil and bring glory is being celebrated throughout the country. Vivekanand kendra vidyalaya Rishabhdeo celebrated the Navratri festival with flying colours and cultural programs on 21/10/2023 as' Navrang utsav' . The celebration began with the lighting of lamp by the Principal Ma'am.To take the event further various activities were performed, like poem by master Dravy Jain speech by Mr. Rajendra Parihar Dance by the girls of class 9, skit by the students of class 8 etc. The programme ended with the blessings by honourable Principal Ma'am. The whole program was followed by Dandiya which was celebrated as 'Navrang utsav 2023' Along with dandiya students also enjoyed a special dJ hour which was conducted by master Reyansh Gaur the Alumni of the batch 2022-23.

On the occasion of teacher’s day there was a Joyous celebration that initiated with the lighting of lamp by Principal Ma'am and DEO Ma'am after this the SDG theme for the month was disclosed I.e. quality education. Then the teachers were honoured with 'Tilak' And 'Nariyal'. To take the event further, various activities were presented , like poems, speech, songs etc. Special activity 'Pehchan Kaun'? was conducted That rewind the memories when teachers were once students. To conclude the day various fun activities were conducted for teachers and the celebration was ended by teachers' oath.
For the celebration of TV Raksha Bandhan and simultaneously promoting SDG awareness among students, the school took the initiative and organised an Eco-Friendly Rakhi Making Competition for the students of classes III to XII. The three best rakhis were selected to be awarded and the other rakhis were beautifully displayed on the tag board.
Inter house Ad Enactment Competition was conducted on 23 August, 2023 in Classes 6 to 12 during CCA periods to encourage creativity, teamwork, and communication skills by having students create and perform their own advertisements to aware about SDG. Competition was conducted in two groups i.e. Junior group and senior groups. Judgment was done by a panel of judges.
On July 23, 2023, a Lemonade Party was organized for the students of class Nur.-II. This activity was organized to create a joyful environment and make students learn about the Properties of lemonade and some more healthy drinks.It also helped to enhance cognitive, listening, speaking, and critical thinking skills.
On the occasion of Van Mahotsav, Green Day was celebrated for classes from Nursery to II. All the students were dressed in green dresses and even brought food of green color. Through this celebration, students tried to connect with nature and learn the importance of nature, especially trees.
A Two of our students Ms. Yukti Jain and Ms. Nehal Jain Represented Rajasthan at the Model Conference of Parties at New Delhi. It was organized by WWF. (World Wild Life Fund). The main purpose of the conference was to bring countries together to discuss and coordinate efforts to combat climate change.

So, this Mother’s Day, let us celebrate not only the women who gave birth to us but also the amazing role models who have enriched our lives.MOTHER'S DAY was celebrated at VKV, RISHABHDEV with full zeal and Splendor on 12th of May. It was a class activity so all students participated in it and expressed their love for MOTHER.Students prepared CARD/JEWELLERY/Handmade purses for their mother as Cards allow students to express gratitude and appreciation for the mother who is caregiver in their lives. It’s also an opportunity for students to get creative!Few students prepared beautiful jewellery with necklace and earrings set.it is also great way to express their creativity and love. Mostly girls took part in it.Some students prepared handmade bags/purses for their mothers as a gift for mother’s day. They purchased colourful papers, decorative articles etc.by their own.
A mesmerising programme of SPIC MACAY was organised at VKV, RISHABHDEV on 15th of April. The special guest was Mr.Manas Kumar who is a violinist.His major achievements:Students enjoyed the coordination between Violin and tabla. Various songs were sung on violin like padharo mhare desh me…, Raghupati ra gava raja ram…, shyam bhajans etc. Students understood the BEAUTY OF MUSIC. Everyone was so mesmerized that all started singing with the music.
"EARTH DAY" was celebrated on 21st April, 2023 at VKV, RISHABHDEV with captivating class activities. Teachers were open to in act any activity like skit, poster making etc. The board of every class was beautifully decorated. Students with their class teachers decorated their class on the theme SAVE EARTH.
World Heritage Day was celebrated on 18th April, 2023 which is also known as the International Monuments and Sites Day, celebrates the work carried out by the ICOMOS – International Council on Monuments and Sites. The day is all about increasing the awareness of the importance of the diversity of cultural heritage and preserving it for generations in the future.
So on this day the team of VKV took the students for a "VISIT TO STEPWELLS OF RISHABHDEV" Students were curious to know about such as why they are called stepwell? Why is it situated so deep?
Students were writing their report as a project work in SOCIAL SCIENCE.As it is rightly said that Excursions are the PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE as we can't bind the students to the classroom walls only. We should explore our students by talking them for such outings.
Artist Shakir Khan, one of the most promising young exponents of the legendary Etawah Gharana, gave introduction of Sitar instrument and showed them how it is played & what are the playing techniques. He also taught them how to create specific notes on Sitar.
On the other hand, Tabla Vadak Unmesh Banerjee, disciple of Pt. Sunil Banarjee and Vidwan S. Shekhar performed fabulously on Tabla.
The students were overjoyed and enthusiastic while they were performing. After the session, students cleared their doubts and queries with the artists.
Sports help to improve both physical and mental strength and our body remains fit and healthy. Keeping that in mind, an eventful Annual Sports Day of the school was inaugurated on 12th January 2019. It was started with the lighting of torch and igniting the flames of honour. Four of our students completed the torch ceremony started by Harshita Pandey followed by Nitin Jangid, Hemant Tiwari and the head boy of the school Master Arun Prakash. There were many sports events for each category such as Race, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Table-Tennis, Dodge Ball etc.
The Youthful Swami Vivekananda was a key figure in the introduction of Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world. Vivekanand Jayanti was celebrated in our school on 12th January 2019 with full zeal & enthusiasm. To honour Swamiji, a National Youth Day was also celebrated. The special assembly was conducted and the programme began with lamp lighting and garlanding the statue.
A Fire Alarm Mock Drill was conducted on 12th February, 2019 in VKV, Rishabhdev school premises. The children were introduced with that kind of situations and informed how to go to a safer place if you listen to this kind of alarm. They were also introduced with the various types of fire extinguishers and how to operate it during an emergency.
On the occasion of Diwali, a special assembly was conducted on 31st October, 2018 at VKV, Rishabhdev School. During the assembly students talked about the significance of the festival, how good conquers the evil, also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across the country.
During Christmas, a Bal-Mela was organised on 25th December, 2018 in our school premises. The Students enjoyed it a lot with great spirit. In the Mela, different stalls of games and eatables were arranged for students.
The Ram Navami and Dussehra festival was celebrated on 16th October, 2018 at VKV, Rishabhdev School with different kinds of activities. The evening started with cultural events and students from different classes wore traditional & colorful costumes and performed Garba dance with great joy and enthusiasm. The programme ended with Rawan Dahan and everyone enjoyed a lot. It was great to see that the students were enjoying the beautiful evening with great pride and got to know more about the Indian tradition & culture.
To develop respect for our culture and inculcate spirit of dedication & service towards enriching our Indian culture, an Artist’s show was arranged in our school on 18th July 2018. The Artists from the SpicMacay Society which works for the promotions of Indian Classical Music and culture amongst youth - Mrs. Rachitha Ravi and Group performed Kerala’s famous dance Mohiniyattam and Leelamma. The students were overjoyed to see their wonderful performance.
